Urban Water Management Plan

Urban Water Management Plan

UWMP cover (2026)

The State of California, through the California Water Management Planning Act of 1983, as amended, requires every urban water supplier to develop an Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) every five years to demonstrate in detail how their agency manages their water supplies and demands under all hydrology conditions.  The UWMP provides water supply planning projections for a 25-year period and identifies water supplies needed to meet existing and future demand.

The 2025 UWMP was adopted by the West Basin Municipal Water District on June 22, 2026, following a public review process and public hearing.
