West Basin offers a wide array of educational programs, contests and tours to help students in grades 3 – 12 learn about Southern California water resources, water quality and environmental protection, water conservation, and more!

Water Recycling Facility Field Trips (3rd - 12th)

Students will learn about the importance of water wise stewardship and how West Basin's water recycling protects local water supply.

Water Savers Assembly (3rd - 5th) School Assemblies

Students learn how to protect watersheds and conserve water, with each student receiving a Water Star Conservation Kit. Conducted in partnership with Grades of Green.

Student Art Contest (3rd - 12th)

Student artists inspire their communities to support water conservation as a way of life by creating eye-catching artwork with smart water use slogans. Contest opens every January!

Teach and Test Program (9th - 12th)

Student volunteers from local high schools collect water samples and analyze the water quality from our South Bay beaches. Conducted in partnership with Surfrider Foundation, South Bay Chapter.
