Sign up for the Rain Barrel Distribution Event near you!

West Basin will host six drive-through rain barrel pick-up events on various Saturdays this fall at locations throughout the service area, beginning on September 13.

Potential program participants must live in the service area and register to receive up to two free 50-gallon rain barrels valued at approximately $80 each as part of the District giving away a total of 1,500 barrels to help our residents save water and money.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must reside within West Basin’s service area to participate (check your address location online)
  • Must not have received two rain barrels from prior events (two rain barrels are the maximum per address)
  • Must provide photos of your installed rain barrel(s) within 30 days of receiving them (submit photos to https://arcg.is/Kqrz)

Benefits of a Rain Barrel

  • Rain barrels reduce stormwater runoff by collecting and reusing rainwater
  • Reusing rainwater helps save water and money
  • A rainwater capture feature, such as a rain barrel, is also a requirement for West Basin’s Grass Replacement Rebate Program, which starts at $3 per square foot of grass removed
