Know Your H2O Classes

How well do you know your H2O? Take an in-depth look into one of life’s most important resources by participating in West Basin’s Know Your H2O classes to explore water issues that impact you and your community! These classes are an opportunity for service area residents to learn about a wide range of current and emerging water topics, receive a status update on the drought, and discover what can be done to save more water in our daily lives.

Wednesday, March 25 – Water Quality and Monitoring

Join us as we delve into the fascinating world of water chemistry and explore the different techniques used to treat drinking water and monitor its quality allowing us rely on this precious natural resource on a daily basis. We’ll also discover the similarities and differences between tap and bottled water, learn how to decipher your own purveyor’s water quality report and walk away with a contact resource list.

Wednesday, July 8 – Water for Tomorrow: A Community Conversation

Join West Basin Municipal Water District and invited agencies in Water Replenishment District, Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts, the City of Carson, and California Water Service.  This event invites the public to explore southern California's water future through community conversation and open learning. 

Industry experts will share insights about the evolving water landscape, innovative projects and infrastructure, and engage in interactive discussions focused on the challenges and opportunities shaping southern California’s water reliability.

Wednesday, September 9 – New Water Efficiency Technologies and Strategies

Where does our drinking water come from now and where will it come from in the future? Tonight’s class will provide a lively discussion focusing on emerging indoor and outdoor devices that can help you save money and save our current limited water supplies.
