Directors Desi Alvarez and Donald L. Dear Sworn In After Election Victories
After winning their respective campaigns during the November 2024 election cycle, West Basin Municipal Water District (West Basin) Division III Director Desi Alvarez and Division V Director Donald L. Dear were sworn in during their swearing in ceremonies at the West Basin headquarters.
Director Alvarez, who currently serves as the West Basin Board of Directors President for the 2024 calendar year, was re-elected to serve a second term on the board. As the elected official for Division III, he represents the cities of Hermosa Beach, Lomita, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, a portion of the city of Torrance, and the unincorporated Los Angeles County area of West Carson.
Director Dear, who currently serves as the 2024 Board of Directors Secretary, was re-elected for his seventh term on the board. As the elected official for Division V, he represents the cities of Gardena, Hawthorne, Lawndale and the unincorporated Los Angeles County area of El Camino Village.
