6-9-26 - CA Friendly & Native Plant Landscape Training - Flyer FINALWith summer right around the corner, now is a perfect time to learn how to design a colorful landscape that not only conserves water, but is also easy to maintain!

Come to the West Basin Municipal Water District headquarters in Carson on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 6 – 8 pm for the “California Friendly & Native Plant Landscape Training” Class.

This engaging in-person session will teach you how to transform your yard into a water-wise, climate-friendly landscape that thrives in Southern California. Local garden experts will guide you through practical techniques for designing and maintaining a thriving vibrant garden that works with California’s natural environment.

As a bonus, dinner will be served (while supplies last) and all attendees will be entered into an opportunity drawing to win a free rain barrel. One lucky participant will take it home the same day - just make sure you’re able to transport it after the class!

Why go California Friendly?

California native plants are uniquely suited to the region’s climate. They need far less water, require minimal maintenance and stay beautiful year-round. That means you can enjoy a vibrant garden while helping conserve water and potentially lower your water bill. Many native plants also offer an added layer of protection against wildfires—some varieties can help slow the spread of flames while also supporting local wildlife and pollinators year-round.

Space is limited, so register today and take the first step toward creating a beautiful, sustainable California friendly garden.
