Free Garden Design Class - Transform Your Lawn into a Stunning, Water-Wise Garden
Tired of investing in a high maintenance, thirsty lawn? It’s time to turn that patchy grass into a lower-maintenance lush landscape that will save water, time and money in the long run.
In partnership with Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and The City of Malibu, West Basin is hosting a series of free in-person classes to equip you with the knowledge and resources to get started on your garden transformation.
Register today for the “Garden Design” class where experts will teach you how to transform your water-greedy grass into an eco-friendly, eye-catching space.
Join us at Malibu City Hall on Thursday March 26, 2026, from 11:00AM- 12:00PM
You will learn about:
- Contouring and integrating permeable landscape to capture and retain rainwater
- Creating hydro-zones to improve irrigation efficiency
- Choosing plants that flourish in local conditions
- Applying key design principles including “right plant, right place” techniques and color selections
