West Basin Municipal Water District invites the community to join in the celebration of a major District milestone at the 2025 Water Harvest festival, commemorating 30 years of recycled water production. This year’s theme honors West Basin’s longstanding leadership in sustainable water solutions since opening its flagship water recycling facility in 1995. The annual festival blends fun and education to raise public awareness of local water sustainability solutions and promotes environmental stewardship.

Attendees can enjoy:

  • Live stage entertainment and music
  • Free food, giveaways and raffles
  • Costume contests and kids’ activity zones
  • Interactive games and exhibits promoting water conservation
  • Educational booths from local partners and water agencies
  • Facility tours of the Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility led by West Basin operations staff and engineers
  • Free parking on-site

West Basin’s Water Harvest Festival draws thousands of attendees annually and offers a unique opportunity for residents of all ages to experience how recycled water is made and why it’s essential to building regional water resilience.

“Reaching 30 years of recycled water production is a significant achievement—not just for West Basin, but also for the nearly 1 million people we serve,” said West Basin Board President and Division II Director Gloria Gray. “We are excited to invite everyone to come and enjoy the Water Harvest festival, especially the families and individuals who help make an impact by learning about ways to conserve water within their homes and daily lives. Water Harvest is our way of saying thank you and continuing our commitment to educating and engaging the public about how we safeguard our water.”

This free, family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Edward C. Little Water Recycling Facility, located at 1935 S. Hughes Way in El Segundo.
